Injectafer® (Ferric Carboxymaltose) IV Infusion Therapy
Fast, Powerful Iron Replacement for Iron Deficiency Anemia
Clearwell Infusion Centers offers safe and efficient administration of Injectafer (ferric carboxymaltose) for patients with iron deficiency anemia who need rapid repletion or are unable to tolerate oral iron. Our Miami center provides private suites, flexible scheduling, and attentive care tailored to your needs.
What Is Injectafer?
Injectafer® (ferric carboxymaltose) is an FDA-approved intravenous iron replacement therapy used to treat iron deficiency anemia (IDA) in adult patients, including those with chronic kidney disease (non-dialysis dependent) and others who have not responded well to oral iron.
Injectafer is typically administered in two short IV infusions spaced about 7 days apart, making it a convenient option for rapid iron repletion with minimal disruption to your routine.

Conditions Treated with Injectafer
Injectafer is indicated for:
- Iron Deficiency Anemia in:
- Adults with intolerance or inadequate response to oral iron
- Adults with non-dialysis dependent chronic kidney disease (NDD-CKD)
- Certain women with iron deficiency due to heavy menstrual bleeding or postpartum blood loss
Injectafer helps replenish iron stores and increase hemoglobin levels to relieve fatigue, shortness of breath, and other anemia-related symptoms.
Injectafer Side Effects
Injectafer is generally well tolerated, but like all iron infusions, it may cause side effects. Common side effects include:
- Nausea
- Flushing
- Dizziness or headache
- High blood pressure during or shortly after infusion
- Injection site reactions
Less common but serious side effects include hypophosphatemia (low phosphate levels) and allergic reactions. Patients are closely monitored during treatment. For complete safety information, visit the Injectafer prescribing information.
