What Is Avsola?

Avsola® (infliximab-axxq) is an FDA-approved biosimilar to Remicade® (infliximab). It is a monoclonal antibody that targets and blocks tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), a key protein involved in inflammation and immune system activity. By inhibiting TNF-α, Avsola helps reduce inflammation, relieve symptoms, and prevent long-term damage caused by autoimmune diseases.

Avsola is administered as an intravenous (IV) infusion, typically every 6 to 8 weeks after the initial loading doses.

Conditions Treated with Avsola Infusions

Avsola is approved for use in adults and children with a variety of chronic autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, including:

• Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)
• Crohn’s Disease
• Ulcerative Colitis
• Ankylosing Spondylitis

Avsola Side Effects

As with any biologic therapy, Avsola may cause side effects.

Common side effects:

• Headache or dizziness
• Fever, chills, or sore throat
• Stomach pain
• Upper respiratory infections
• Rash or itching
• Infusion-related reactions
• Increased risk of serious infections
