Gammagard® IVIG Therapy

Immune Globulin Therapy for Immunodeficiency and Autoimmune Conditions

Clearwell Infusion Centers provides safe, professional administration of Gammagard (immune globulin intravenous [human]) for patients with primary immunodeficiency and certain autoimmune conditions. As a trusted infusion center in Miami, we offer private suites, flexible scheduling, and compassionate, personalized care.

What Is Gammagard?

Gammagard® is an FDA-approved intravenous immune globulin (IVIG) therapy made from purified human plasma. It contains a broad spectrum of antibodies used to help strengthen or regulate the immune system.

Gammagard is used to treat patients with immune system disorders who either lack sufficient antibodies or have autoimmune conditions where immune modulation is needed. It is administered by intravenous infusion, typically every 3 to 4 weeks depending on the indication.

Conditions Treated with Gammagard

Gammagard is indicated for:

  • Primary Immunodeficiency (PI)
  • Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP)
  • Multifocal Motor Neuropathy (off-label)
  • Other autoimmune or neurological conditions (off-label, as prescribed)

By supplying essential antibodies, Gammagard helps reduce the frequency and severity of infections and supports immune function.

Gammagard Side Effects

Gammagard is generally well tolerated, but some patients may experience side effects.

Common side effects:

  • Headache
  • Fatigue
  • Fever or chills
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Muscle or joint pain
  • Infusion-related reactions (flushing, rash, dizziness)

Rare but serious risks include thromboembolic events, renal dysfunction, and aseptic meningitis. Infusions are closely monitored by licensed professionals to minimize risk. For a full list of side effects, visit the Gammagard website and review the prescribing information.

For a full list of potential side effects, please see the Important Safety Information and Medication Guide on the Gammagard Website.
