Tysabri® (Natalizumab) IV Infusion Therapy
Targeted Therapy for Multiple Sclerosis and Crohn’s Disease
Clearwell Infusion Centers offers Tysabri IV infusion therapy for patients with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS) and moderate to severe Crohn’s disease. Our Miami infusion center is designed to provide a comfortable, private, and efficient experience—with flexible scheduling, experienced staff, and ACHC-accredited safety protocols.
What Is Tysabri?
Tysabri® (natalizumab) is an FDA-approved monoclonal antibody that works by blocking immune cells from entering the brain, spinal cord, and gut, reducing inflammation and disease activity. It is used when other treatments haven’t worked or as an escalation option for patients who need more effective control.
Tysabri is administered as an IV infusion once every 4 weeks, and requires enrollment in a REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy) program due to its rare but serious risk of progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML).

Conditions Treated with Tysabri
Tysabri is indicated for:
- Relapsing Forms of Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
- Moderate to Severe Crohn’s Disease (when standard therapies have failed)
Tysabri helps reduce MS relapses and MRI-detected disease activity. In Crohn’s disease, it may induce and maintain remission by reducing inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract.
Tysabri Side Effects
While generally well tolerated, Tysabri can cause:
- Headache
- Fatigue
- Joint pain
- Nausea
- Infusion-related reactions
- Increased risk of infections, including PML (a rare brain infection)
At Clearwell, our team follows strict REMS protocols and ACHC-accredited procedures to monitor for side effects and ensure patient safety during and after infusions.
