Xolair® (Omalizumab) Injection Therapy in Miami

Targeted Biologic Treatment for Allergic Asthma, Chronic Hives, and Nasal Polyps

Clearwell Infusion Centers offers Xolair administration for patients with allergic asthma, chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU), and nasal polyps. Our Miami center provides private suites, flexible scheduling, and experienced nursing care to ensure a safe, supportive treatment experience in a convenient outpatient setting.

What Is Xolair?

Xolair® (omalizumab) is an FDA-approved monoclonal antibody that targets immunoglobulin E (IgE), a key player in allergic and inflammatory responses. By binding to IgE, Xolair reduces allergic inflammation and helps control symptoms in certain chronic allergic conditions. Xolair is administered by subcutaneous injection (or IV in rare cases) every 2 to 4 weeks, depending on condition and weight.

Conditions Treated with Xolair

Xolair is approved for the treatment of:

  • Moderate to Severe Allergic Asthma (age 6+) not controlled with inhaled steroids
  • Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria (CSU) (age 12+) that persists despite antihistamines
  • Nasal Polyps (age 18+) with inadequate response to nasal corticosteroids

Xolair may also be used off-label for other allergic or inflammatory conditions at a physician’s discretion.

Xolair Side Effects

Xolair is generally well tolerated, but some patients may experience:

  • Injection site reactions (redness, swelling)
  • Headache
  • Fatigue
  • Nausea
  • Increased risk of allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis (rare)

Patients are monitored during and after each injection for safety. Clearwell’s trained staff follow ACHC-accredited safety protocols for all Xolair administrations.
