Cinryze® (C1 Esterase Inhibitor) IV Therapy
Preventive Therapy for Hereditary Angioedema (HAE)
Clearwell Infusion Centers offers professional, comfortable administration of Cinryze for patients living with hereditary angioedema (HAE). As a trusted infusion center in Miami, we provide private suites, flexible scheduling, and a compassionate, patient-centered experience.
What Is Cinryze?
Cinryze® is an FDA-approved C1 esterase inhibitor replacement therapy used to help prevent swelling attacks in patients with hereditary angioedema (HAE). HAE is a rare genetic condition caused by a deficiency or dysfunction of C1 esterase inhibitor, which leads to unpredictable and potentially serious episodes of swelling in various parts of the body.
Cinryze is administered as an intravenous (IV) infusion, typically twice a week, and is used for routine prophylaxis — to reduce the frequency and severity of HAE attacks.
Conditions Treated with Cinryze
Cinryze is indicated for:
- Routine prevention of angioedema attacks in adults, adolescents, and children (age 6 and up) with hereditary angioedema (HAE)
It is not used to treat acute HAE attacks — emergency therapies are used in those situations.
Cinryze Side Effects
Cinryze is generally well tolerated, but as with any IV therapy, side effects may occur.
Common side effects:
- Headache
- Nausea
- Rash
- Fever
- Infusion site discomfort
- Fatigue
- Rare risk of serious blood clots
Because Cinryze is made from human plasma, there is a very small risk of viral transmission. All plasma is rigorously screened and treated to minimize this risk. Our clinical team will monitor for any side effects and communicate with your referring provider to ensure a safe and effective treatment experience.
For a full list of potential side effects, please see the Important Safety Information and Medication Guide on the Cinryze Website.
